I spend too many hours in traffic, but I do see some interesting skies and neon.
This is a color study from a photo I took when we were trapped in Jersey, needing a restroom, and wondering why nobody has a jet pack in the 2000′s like the Jetsons.

My first thought was, oh woman, put your hands back on the wheel! You’ve taken this urban sketching too far!!!! Read on and was able to relax. Love, love, love it. Night time is not painted enough for my taste and it’s such a rich vein of visuality.

HAHA! No I was a passenger! This is using M. Graham gouache which has no opacifiers, so it can be used transparently! Still getting the hang of it: different than watercolor and the gouache we used in textiles.

I really like the rich deep colors in this piece.
I agree with Yolanda….I too almost thought you painted/sketched it while driving! haha

HAHA! Now if only I could take this thing on the road I could draw route 66!
